We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting our annual Southwark Stars once again this November.
The event recognises outstanding volunteers, community groups and local people and given this past year with COVDI19 there is lot to thank and recognise.
Due to the Covid19 pandemic, we will be holding our Southwark Starts Award event online, on Friday 20 November, from 6.00pm to 7.30pm.
Southwark Stars gives us the opportunity to celebrate those who take the time to volunteer to support others, thus helping to make Southwark a better place. Since the outbreak of COVID 19 and lockdown in place we have seen huge numbers of volunteers coming together to help those in need in all different ways across the borough and we want to use this evening to say THANK YOU.
This event will be a chance to showcase your incredible stories, photos and videos and a chance to nominate volunteers in 6 different special categories.
Nominating for Special award categories:
These celebrate outstanding contributions from volunteers and examples of good practice across the voluntary and community sector as a whole.
Of course we would love to give awards to every single one of you, as everything you do is fantastic, so don’t forget to send your photos, videos and stories so we can showcase them on the night (see below for details).

Please send any good stories that highlights the incredible work that your volunteers/volunteer, individual or community group have done.
Throw a party for the online Southwark Stars, have a group watch it at your organisation!
It would be great for all your beneficiaries and volunteers to watch and be a part of the online Southwark Stars altogether at your organisation (under COVID19 rules)
You could have a screening with food and refreshments and make it a lovely celebratory event.
